jump flap

 

Definition: a distant flap transferred in two or more stages through an intermediate carrier; an abdominal flap is tubed and attached to the wrist carrier, and at a second stage the abdominal pedicle is divided leaving it attached to the face. In a third stage, the wrist attachment is divided and attached to the face.
