Definition: a lymphoid structure in which the blood sinuses are present in place of lymph sinuses; hemal nodes occur in ruminants and some other mammals, but their presence in humans is questioned.
Synonym(s): hemal gland, hemolymph gland, hemolymph node, vascular gland
