Pronunciation: gos′ĕr-ĕ-lin
Definition: A synthetic decapeptide agonist analogue of LHRH (GnRH). It inhibits pituitary gonadotropin secretion and is used to treat prostate cancer, breast cancer, endometriosis, and for prethinning the endometrium before endometrial ablation or resection.
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
