Pronunciation: glū-kū′rōn-īd
A glycoside of glucuronic acid; many foreign chemicals, as well as catabolic products of normal body constituents (steroid hormones), are commonly excreted in the urine as d-glucuronides, the conjugation taking place in the liver.
