Definition: an intracutaneous diagnostic test for lymphogranuloma venereum: the Frei antigen is usually a sterile preparation of inactivated chlamydiae from domestic fowl; a positive-delayed type reaction is not diagnostically specific for lymphogranuloma venereum and is rarely used.
