Pronunciation: el′ē-op′ă-thē
Definition: A rare condition in which there is boggy swelling of the joints, said to be due to a fatty deposit following contusion; or possibly a condition resulting from the injection of paraffin oil as a form of malingering.
Synonym(s): elaiopathia
