elastic laminae of arteries
1) external: the layer of elastic connective tissue lying immediately outside the smooth muscle of the tunica media; 2) internal: a fenestrated layer of elastic tissue of the tunica intima.Synonym(s): elastic layers of arteries, Henle fenestrated elastic membrane
