Definition: nerves arising in the lateral fibular/peroneal) compartment of the leg that pass to the dorsum of the foot, supplying the skin of most of the dorsum of the foot and dorsal aspect of the toes, with the exception of a small wedge-shaped area including the adjacent sides of the great and second toes.
