deep palmar (arterial) arch

 

Definition: the arterial arch located deep to the long flexor tendons in the hand. It is formed by the terminal palmar part of the radial artery in conjunction with the deep palmar branch of the ulnar artery. The arch gives rise to palmar metacarpal and princeps pollicis arteries.
