Definition: lymph nodes located in the posterior triangle of the neck deep to the investing layer of cervical fascia; they empty into the jugular trunk on the right or left side; the group is subdivided into four smaller chains: superior deep cervical nodes, inferior deep cervical nodes, accessory nodes, and supraclavicular nodes.
