decussation of medial lemniscus
Definition: the intercrossing of fibers of left and right gracile and cuneate nuclei, immediately rostral to the level of the decussation of the pyramidal tracts in the medulla oblongata. After having crossed, these fibers coalesce to form the medial lemniscus.
