decidua capsularis
Definition: the layer of endometrium overlying the implanted chorionic vesicle; it becomes progressively attenuated as the chorionic vesicle enlarges and, by the fourth month, is squeezed against the decidua parietalis and thereafter undergoes rapid regression.
