Definition: a leukocyte having an enhanced content of cystine, found in patients with disorders characterized by the storage of cystine; within the leukocyte, the cystine, largely in noncrystalline form, is associated with dense lysosomal particles.
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
