Pronunciation: kris′tă-lin
Definition: One of several water-soluble proteins found in the lens of the eye; α (an embryonic single protein), β, and γ varieties (based on precipitibility) are known. Reptiles and birds have a ΄-crystalline as well. ε-Crystallin is the same as lactate dehydrogenase.
