- a fan-shaped fiber mass on the white matter (substance) of the cerebral cortex, composed of the widely radiating fibers of the internal capsule;
- a single layer of columnar follicular cells derived from the cumulus oophorus that anchor on the zona pellucida of the oocyte in a maturing ovarian follicle.
- a pattern of fine lines radiating around a solitary pulmonary nodule, passing through a zone of relative lower opacity, as seen radiologically.
