common flexor sheath (of hand)
Definition: the synovial palmar carpal tendinous sheath that surrounds the eight tendons of the superficial and deep flexors of the digits of the hand as they pass through the carpal canal; it is commonly continuous with the synovial digital sheath of the little finger.
