Pronunciation: sit′răl
Definition: A monoterpene aldehyde consisting of both geometric isomers found in oils from lemon, orange, verbena, and lemon grass; citral-A is the trans-isomer and citral-B is the cis-isomer (neral).
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
