Definition: hepatitis with chronic portal inflammation that extends into the parenchyma, with piecemeal necrosis and fibrosis that usually progresses to a coarsely nodular postnecrotic cirrhosis.
Synonym(s): juvenile cirrhosis, posthepatitic cirrhosis, subacute hepatitis
