Pronunciation: krō′mō-gran′in
Definition: A soluble and secretory hormone proteins of chromaffin granules. Chromogranins A, an acidic glycoprotein, comprises about 50% of the total protein of the granule matrix. Other types are chromogranin 13 and secretogranin II.
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
