Definition: `a method in which tissues preserved in chromate-containing fixatives (Regaud or Orth) precipitate lead as yellow lead chromate crystals; formalin-fixed sections are treated with potassium chromate acidified with acetic acid.
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
