Carney complex
Pronunciation: kahr′nē
Definition: an autosomal dominant multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome characterized by dermatologic and mucosal lentiginosis, atrial myxomas of the heart, primary Cushing syndrome, and acromegaly. A subgroup of patients have abnormalities of an adenylyl cyclase A subunit.
