Definition: a glycoprotein constituent of the glycocalyx of embryonic endodermal epithelium, which may be elevated in the serum of some patients with colon camcer and certain other cancers and in serum of long-term tobacco smokers.
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
