Burkitt lymphoma

Pronunciation: bŭr′kĭt

Definition: a form of malignant lymphoma reported in African children, frequently involving the jaw and abdominal lymph nodes. Geographic distribution of Burkitt lymphoma suggests that it is found in areas with endemic malaria.
