Definition: a syndrome characterized by erectile, easily compressible, thin-walled hemangiomatous nodules, present at birth, widely distributed in the skin and the alimentary canal and sometimes in other tissues; lesions in the gut may perforate or cause hemorrhage, and the patient may be anemic from continual bleeding.
