Definition: an enzyme that catalyzes the reaction of UDPglucuronate and bilirubin forming UDP and bilirubin-glucuronoside; a deficiency of this enzyme is associated with Crigler-Najjar syndrome.
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
