Definition: patchy atrophic scarring of the kidney caused by arteriosclerotic narrowing of the lumens of large branches of the renal artery, occurring in old or hypertensive persons and occasionally causing hypertension.
Synonym(s): arterionephrosclerosis, senile nephrosclerosis
