Army Alpha tests
Definition: a set of paper-and-pencil adminestered tests designed for machine scoring, allowing for testing of large groups and first used by the U.S. Army during World War I for literate recruits, to measure mental ability with directions, arithmetic problems, practical judgment, synonyms and antonyms, disarrayed sentences, number series completions, analogies, and information.
