anterior surface of scapula
Definition: the concave anteromedial surface of the scapula; it is largely covered by the subscapularis muscle and its tendinous insertions, and overlies ribs 2 through 7 and their muscles and fasciae, with which it forms the scapulothoracic “articulation.”
