Definition: a reaction that is similar to anaphylactic shock, but does not require the incubation period characteristic of induced sensitivity (anaphylaxis); it is a non-IgE mediated reaction.
Synonym(s): anaphylactoid crisis1, pseudoanaphylactic shock
