alveologingival fiber group
type I collagen fibers collected into fiber bundles within the subepithelial connective tissue of the gingiva; they extend from the crest of the alveolus and insert into the dense irregular collagenous connective tissue of the attached and free gingivae.See Also: gingival principal fiber groups
