Pronunciation: ak′tin-ō-bas-i-lō′sis
Definition: A disease of cattle and swine, occasionally reported in humans, caused by the bacterium Actinobacillus lignieresii. It affects the soft tissues, often the tongue and cervical lymph nodes, where granulomatous swellings form and eventually break down to form abscesses.
