This new and important educational activity will review many of the conditions, including neurological and congenital cardiac diseases, and malformations treated by pediatric subspecialists and provide a framework for multidisciplinary care of these complex patients. Additionally, this course will examine the known and emerging relationships that exist between the heart and brain as it pertains to the growing child from fetal life through adulthood. The newest diagnostic modalities and results of the latest studies pertaining to these complex relationships will be presented and discussed at length by experts in the field.
