Scripps Cancer Center’s Oncology Nurses Symposium, which will be held October 2 – 5 in San Deigo, CA, is designed for nurses dedicated to the field of hematology-oncology. The 2011 Symposium will explore the latest information on various types of cancers including: Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML), melanoma, colon cancer, and thoracic tumors. Treatment advances, infection prevention, ethical commitments, and palliative care will also be discussed. In addition to offering strong clinical content from leading experts, the Oncology Nurses Symposium will evaluate the effect of a cancer diagnosis on all aspects of a patient’s life and the important role oncology nurses play throughout the continuum of care.
