Medications for Alcoholic Dementia

Alcoholic dementia occurs in patients who have dementia characteristics with a history of chronic, excessive alcohol consumption. Excessive use of alcohol causes white matter and neuronal loss in the frontal cortex, the hypothalamus and the cerebellum. This results progressive impairment of brain function.
