Lamisil (terbinafine) for Onychomycosis, Toenail: I took this medicine for 3 weeks and have lost all sense of taste. It has been 2 weeks and I have lost 12 lbs. They say that this is a rare side effect yet I have found many web sites that have many complaints of the same effect? Not worth my time or money. I am depressed, sick, weak all the time and mad as hell I ever took it and my toenails still look bad.

Lamisil (terbinafine) for Onychomycosis, Toenail: My physician prescribed Lamisil for me in October 2007. I took it for three months and had 2 liver panels done during that time. I was dizzy and mildly nauseated the first few days and had diarreah. It has taken 10 months for the new nails to grow out but I can bare my toes once again! It also CURES athlete's feet. Now my feet are baby smooth and free of dryness and cracks. I would highly recommend this product. Don't wait! This is the best my feet have looked in years. Trust me, IT WORKS! :)

Lamisil (terbinafine) for Onychomycosis, Toenail: Hideous fungus under all 10 toenails since age 12, I'm 52 now. My life is changed, since in adolescence and even until today, I have hidden my toes and suffered ridicule and embarrassing questions. Been taking the drug for 4 mths as I write this. It's a miracle. Big toenails have cleared beautifully to 50% and all other 8 nails are at 90% or better. Taste impacted minimally(temporary). Liver function normal. Just do it.

Lamisil (terbinafine) for Onychomycosis, Toenail: I'm 2 weeks from completing my 3 month treatment and have had absolutely no problems or side effects. I was very skeptical about Lamisil before starting because of all the negative reviews that saturate the internet. My nails are improving and even though the bad nails are far from grown out I can tell a visible difference in nail color, texture and the health of my nail bed. I tease and say that it's a miracle drug, since starting Lamisil I've lost 13 pounds and I swear the medication has even helped with my allergies. I am a long time allergy sufferer and I have not had even the slightest onset of a drippy nose or watery eye this spring. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with this product.

Lamisil (terbinafine) for Onychomycosis, Toenail: For years I missed out on so much, I was always ashamed to wear sandals or any type of shoes that showed my toes. As a girl I found my self looking at everyone else's cute shoes wishing I could wear them. It took about 8 months then my toenails were perfect! It truly was a miracle drug! I would recommend it to anyone who has any kind of toenail fungus. I now wear any kind of shoe I want and don't even think about that nasty problem. My only regret was not doing it any sooner.

Lamisil (terbinafine) for Tinea Capitis: I've been taking the Terbinafine 250mg tab once daily for just over a month now and haven't had any noticeable side effects. My toenails have cleared up considerably and I still have 60 more days of treatment. I think if you take this medication as directed, with a full glass of water and do not drink alcohol excessively, you'll probably stand a better chance of complete success. This is the first treatment I have tried since they took the Lamisil Cream off the market that has worked.

Lamisil (terbinafine) for Onychomycosis, Toenail: Used it for almost 3 months. Developed muscle pain and doctor pulled me off. Other than that toes look great after just three months. I spent 35 years treating it myself with no significant results. By summer the wife wants me to wear sandals, something I haven't done since I was 17. Big toes are about 75% back others are about 90%. Looking forward to barefoot beach walks.

Lamisil (terbinafine) for Tinea Capitis: I have used lamisil before and was very pleased with the results. After the full course of medication my toenails looked much better. I had no side effects and I also have a seizure disorder, it worked great for me. My brother took it for the same reason and he had no side effects either. It worked for him as well. It was pricy but worth the results.

Lamisil (terbinafine) for Onychomycosis, Toenail: Been using for 5 months, my doctor advises one more month of use. Had fungus on 2 nails and my big toenail that was 80% infected has improved to about 15% remaining. Improvement in nails was very slow for the first 3-4 months and with this month you can see the improvement everyday. Thankfully, no side effects other than stomach cramps for the first few days. Monthly blood draws to check liver enzymes are normal.

I went to the doctor about 2 months ago after my big toe became very painful, (it was throbbing like a toothache) as embarrassed as I was, something had to be done! He prescribed me the Lamisil. Side Effects ~ I had loss of appetite that sadly only lasted a week. Twice I had a little stomach cramping and the first week or so was a little bit more tired than usual, but have had no side effects since. I'm on my 38th day. I am extremely happy to say that I see beautiful nail now growing! They won't be perfect until my nail grows completely out, which could take 6 months, but its working!

Lamisil (terbinafine) for Onychomycosis, Toenail: About five days after I took this medication, I my face slightly swelled. The other side effects to me include mild headache, low abdomen cramp, frequent urinating. The blood draw test does not show abnormal results in kidney and liver functions.

I took my prescribed cycle of lamisil and waited...and waited...and finally after 4 months I started seeing PERFECT toenails. I can wear open toed shoes again. You have to give it time to work. Some people may see results sooner than mine or up to a year. I am so glad my doctor prescribed this medicine.

I took one prescription, 30 tabs and within six months the condiion had cleared up and new nails have grown. For the first time in years I can wear sandals! Taste came back fairly fast. I tried to stick it out but couldn't. The weird/loss of taste was too much.

terbinafine for Onychomycosis, Toenail: My doctor prescribed me with a 90 day supply of terbinafine for my toenail fungus. He said it was a lot cheaper than Lamisil but was basically the same product. Terbinafine is just the generic brand. It has been almost 7 months and my toenails look great. Big toes are at about 85% clear and all others are cured. I regret not taking it sooner because I missed out on so much hiding my toenails for years. I did not have any side effects at all and got blood tests to check my liver every month. Just do it... you wont be sorry and you will be left wondering why you did not take action sooner.

terbinafine for Onychomycosis, Fingernail: 32 year old male with Nail Fungus on left thumbnail. 4 years ago I closed my thumb in my car door at the center of my nail. The nail never healed right and fungus set in within a couple months. I got terbinafine and started on April 15th 2010 with 60 day prescription. I took the pill at night before bed with 3-4 glasses of water. I drank a LOT of water. Never really had any side effects. After first 30 pills I could tell the fungus was dying. The nail looking healthier. After final 30 pills it was dead. As of today August 30th 2010 there is no trace of the fungus on my nail. If it was on my feet I would've never taken this medicine due to all the side effects I read about here. I also stayed away from alcohol completely, which is recommended.

The fungus was not completely gone by the end of the 3 months, but it continued to work, and now my toenails are beautifully clear. I would recommend it to anyone with the fungus on toenails.

I was changed onto terbinafine by the doctor, 3 weeks after taking it I have had no difference, have nausea every day and have completely lost all sense of taste. Good side is I'm losing the excess half a stone, but I am starving.

I've done everything to hide my toes for over 10 years- polish, band aids, fake press on nails...finally decided to do something- husband always wants to know why he can't rub my feet or treat me to a pedicure. Was very concerned about side effects but had to try. Have 3 weeks left of 3 month prescription 250mg once daily. Podiatrist takes blood to check liver levels before refill. Liver levels normal. Had a very subtle metallic dry mouth for a day -hardly noticeable and could be my over thinking. Pill is amazing. My athletes foot is gone. Nails are growing in clean and clear. Results are according to how fast your nails grow. Like posters said, I wish I did this years ago!

terbinafine for Onychomycosis, Toenail: Been taking terbinafine for 5 of my 12 weeks. Starting to see a little difference in toenails. Athlete's foot is gone! However, I have a sore throat. I am a little more tired than usual. The worst side effect is the complete loss of taste! I hate it. I have lost a couple of pounds because of not eating as much. I would advise that if you lose your sense of taste, to make sure to drink plenty of water and avoid any really dry food - they will just taste/feel like cardboard in your mouth.
