Flomax (Tamsulonsin hydrochlorid) helped me to uriniate normally. It did make me feel very tired and weak. I was taking one 0.4 mg a day. I started taking it with breakfast, but switched to taking it after dinner. That helped with most of the tiredness.

Immediately after starting to take flomax I lost blatter control while sleeping. I wet the bed 2 to 3 times every night. I have traded one problem for another. My doctor started me with 2 0.4mg capsules daily.

My PSA went from 1.2 to 5.4, but after taking FLOMAX for over a month, my PSA is back down to 2.0. It definitely eased the difficulty in urination, and most nights, I don't have to get up. I have noticed my urine is very dark and stron-smelling first thing in the morning.

A miracle drug. Thanks. I didn't realize how much I had changed my life style. I was always looking for a bathroom, my wife and I stopped taking long drives in the country for fear I would have to suddenly go and worst of all, I stopped going to sporting events because I was afraid I wouldn't make it home in time. Lastly, I was getting up four or five times a night to go to the bathroom. That is all over now and we are enjoying our lives again.

Flomax has improved my urinary flow and comfort and reduced significantly the number of distressing dribbles at the end of urination. Unfortunately, Flomax also quickly reduced my sexual ability too, with softer, less frequent, and shorter lasting erections, and sometimes appears to cause premature ejaculations that never occurred before. Taking zinc along with multi-vitamins appears to help. I'm still getting up at night to urinate but at least the flow is good. My wife isn't thrilled about this, but I must be able to pee to live, and I can still live without much sex.

This drug cured my urinary problems within a week. I was convinced I was going to need surgery or have major tests done. What a relief! My doctor is a miracle worker.

Within three days of use the relief was amazing, back to normal flow from almost no flow.

Improved the go; no help on the flow.

I have been using Flomax for two years. It keeps me going but I still get up at least three times a night. Flow is not normal, light streem. My PSA is under 2.0 and always has been. I'm tired, sore and not getting any better. Have not had sex for a long time. I'm going to try a new drug.

I have been using Flomax (0.4 mg 1/day) for approximately 2 weeks, with a great improvement after the 2nd pill. My problem with urination wasn't too bad to begin with - slow start, weak stream, start/stop, up 2-3 times per night -- just inconvenient. I have experienced side effects with Flomax: get very dizzy when first standing up within 3-4 hours after taking the pill (feels like I'm going to pass out), so I take it at night; noticeable muscle weakness, but not severe. Also, sex is affected, weak orgasm. I tried Saw Palmetto (2,000 mg/day)--seemed to help some, but not very much.

A side effect noted. Amount of ejaculate reduced to very near none.

About a week ago, my urologist started me on Flomax for urinary problems. I have muscular dystrophy and have to use my muscles maximally to do normal activities of daily living. Several days after starting Flomax I couldn't do many things I need to do every day. Flomax weakens ALL muscles, not just those near the prostate. DO NOT TAKE FLOMAX if you have muscular dystrophy.

Been on Flomax for BPH for 2 yrs now. Its improved my urinary volume and flow rate tremendously. Most night, don't even get up at all. Better now that I take it at 10pm with a small snack. While it has also caused me to have dry ejaculations (my other half has not complained about this) , I can maintain erection and have multiple ejaculations.

An effective drug, but it decreases sex drive.

Been taking Flomax for about 4 years. Works great for me. Still go 4 or 5 times during the day, 0 to 2 at night. It's great to not have pain and difficulty when starting to pee. Thanks to those who took up the cause and found this medicine.

I tried this medication for 6 months with minor improvements. Side effects were erectile dysfunction and loss of muscle strength.

Just started taking this over almost a week. 1st thing I noticed was weak orgasm, little to no semen. Penis is largely flaccid. Flow has improved hope the dribble improves within the next week. Semen and orgasm my be an issue for me though.

I don't know if this medicine would have worked or not because after three days I was so weak and dizzy from low blood pressure that I stopped taking it. Better to get up 1-2 x a night to pee than pass out from walking across the house. If you have low-to-normal blood pressure, watch out. Also tried doxazosin/Cardura before this with similar results.

Product works good however I am getting cramps in the back of my neck. May not be worth having problems urinating if the neck cramps prevent me from doing normal work.

I have used Flomax for a year. It has reduced the urgency and improved flow. Initially, it inhibited sex drive, but I got used to it and am back to nearly normal. My doctor has recommended Rapaflo. One improvement may be sleeping better. I now have trouble getting back to sleep after my once per night pee trip.

Before Flomax for 6 weeks I had experienced urgency to urinate, dribbling, reduced flow. Within one day of starting Flomax, it was like magic - I noticed increased flow, no dribbling, no urgency to urinate, less frequent urination. Also, I noticed that the muscles in my groin area seemed more relaxed. I did notice an undesirable side effect though; dry mouth. I have to speak a lot at work, and a couple of times my mouth dried up and I had difficult speaking.

Flomax works well for me.

For me it's better than taking nothing.

My experience is bang on great! I rarely get up at night and my flow is excellent, no pain, no dribbles etc. I take about 4 pills that will lower my blood pressure, plus morphine which does interact with Flomax, but I lowered my morphine dose and spread it out more and it works great. I was worried about insomnia but all is well there. I had a vasectomy 13 years ago which when combined with Flomax may cause low ejaculate. Flomax works great for me and my life has improved considerably.
