Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: I have problems falling asleep, and also waking up many times during the night.
I tried Ambien first and it didn't seem to help much.
Now I have been using Rozerem 8 mg for about a week, and I have slept wonderfully, better than I have in years.
I do seem to have a little bit of residual affect in the morning of drowsiness, but it doesn't last long. After that I have had more energy throughout the day than I have had in a very long time.
So far Rozerem is working for me.

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: I try going to bed around 9pm,inorder to try to get some sleep, but usually wake up in the middle of the night 3-4 am, and can't go back to sleep. Last night I took my first tablet as perscribed. Today I feel fatique, dizzy, headache, bluh. What do I take to compensate for this side effets. Or, will they go away after my second dosage?

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: This product does not work very well at all in low dose. I took it the first night and got some sleep. After that, no effect. I don't wake up in the middle of the night, I just can't go to bed and go to sleep unless I am up most early am hours.

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: I used Rozerem and was very happy. It is strongly thought that nerve endings in the brain have been damaged by a virus or bacteria. I used it on a need to basis. 3 nights in a row, off a week, then 2 nights on and so on. I used only 8 in a month and did sleep when I used it. Whether I felt drowsy or got a headache from Rozerem I cannot say as my other diseases give me these symptoms, but I have to say I felt much better. I could not afford Rozerem as my insurance would not cover it. I can now afford and will use 8 -10 a month with Doctor's approval.

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: This pill is the only sleep medicine that hasn't made me hallucinate (like Ambien and Sonata), made me gain weight (like so many mood stabilizers) or made me sleep too much. In fact, I haven't had really any side effects whatsoever.
It takes 3 weeks to get working, but after that, my sleep became regular, and I get about 6-8 hours a night. Perfect!

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: I tried Rozerem upon Doctors request. First night I was not sure if it worked or not. The next day I took a nap around 2pm and felt horrible after waking. Headache and utter exhaustion. Tried for the second night and was unable to sleep until 4am. It gave me a feeling of anxiety.

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: This is the only sleep medicine I would give a "10" to the ones I have tried. This is because it worked so well and essentially had no significant side effects.

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: People are quick to judge this medication. I have found that it does indeed make me sleep. However, I still wake up at my usual time at about 3-4 in the morning. This medication is really good for helping you fall asleep but not keeping you asleep.

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: Last night was my fifth time taking Rozerem. I take it around 9pm and am still awake until my normal time of 3-4am. I did not feel sleepy at all.

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: My doctor prescribed Rozerem last week. I have taken Temazepam 30 mg for years but it had stopped being effective so we are testing alternatives. Last night was the 7th night of taking Rozerem- no help.

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: Rozerem has been very effective for my sleep-onset issues with little side effect. However, some days I feel extremely tired (sleepy) throughout the day at random points. This severity of sleepiness really only seems to occur the day after I have taken Rozerem (I do not take it every night if I can help it).

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: I am a day sleeper and was only sleeping about 3 hours a day and waking several times during that 3 hours when I was just taking Ambien. I have starting taking Rozerem in combination with Ambien and I am now sleeping about 6 hours a day. The first few days I felt very drowsy but that has gone away and now I feel wonderful and rested.

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: I have just started on roserum and find I still wake up several times a night, however, I sleep hard in between waking up. I slept very light and almost consiously before taking it. So, I am happy with it, best of all, it is not an addictive drug or narcotic! Thank god for something that helps better than nothing and not addictive.

Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: I can't believe this medication only has a 5.3 average score (as of 08/02/2010). I got samples from my doctor and thought it worked great. Also - no addictive qualities.
Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: Tried Rozerem for the first time the other day. It definitely helped me fall asleep, and without the "heavy sedative" feelings that come along with most other drugs- such as Ambien, Lunesta, etc. closest to a natural feeling of wanting to go to sleep, very calming, also helped with racing thoughts. The letdown of this medication was the next day...could NOT get up! Felt as though I had taken a tranquilizer. All day feeling...like I had taken a high double-dose of Ambien. This is my experience though, unfortunately - seemed perfect at first. Everyone is different though, most will probably hopefully have a much different experience. I say try it.
Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: I have been taking over-the-counter sleep aids and was up to taking double or triple or even more to be able to get some sleep, most of the time to no help. This is the first prescription of sleep medicines so I don't know if my experience will help. The first time I took Rozerem 8mg I slept all night and on and off all day, but I take so much pain medicines it could have interacted with them. So the next night I halved the dose and did not have the same side effects like the first dose.
Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: Took Rozerem last night for the first time and got drowsy and fell asleep, but my body twitched all night. My sleep was not consistent and I woke up all throughout the night. In the morning I slept well past 11 a.m., I felt like a ton of bricks and could not get up. I am usually up and about and running around all day long. Today, I couldn't even leave the house I was so lethargic from the medicine. I stayed home, didn't even change clothes, and laid on the couch with my eyes closed for hours. It's almost 9pm the next day and I still feel really weird and tired. My mind was in a daze all day as if I couldn't get anything done as a result.
Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: I have taken it at least 10 times. It is very expensive. And it worked only 1 out of the 10 doses. I am now trying to avoid caffeine and aspirin which is very difficult to do and will see if it works better.
Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: I am coming off more than a couple non-prescribed medicines and could not sleep. I didn't want anything else addicting so the doctor said try this. I take this combined with 1mg of melatonin. Seems to work great so far the only thing I don't know is whether the 50mg of doxepin has something to do but I have taken it 5 days and no problems. I take it at 11pm and am out cold within 20 minutes but I get straight in bed. Other than that no side effects. I sleep right at about 8 hours a night and wake up refreshed, maybe a tiny sluggish for 15 minutes but not really noticeable.
Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: Rozerem has little or no effect. Woke up several times on Rozerem, took one 4 hours ago and am up and not even drowsy.
Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: I think this medicine is a great alternative to the other prescription sleeping aids. I have had no trouble with it, and on the first day it got me to sleep through the night waking only once, and I fell right back asleep. I'm shocked the rating at the time of my review is only a 5.4.
Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: Tried it a few times but it gave me horrible, disturbing nightmares each time I used it! Besides that, it was not helpful in actually getting me to sleep.
Rozerem (ramelteon) for Insomnia: My sleep problem is describe as: ease of falling asleep; extreme-difficulty staying asleep for more than three hours; however, mostly-pleasant dream occurences. I take Ambien occasionally in attempt to fully replenish my body's energy-level. To not become dependent, on occassion I will try Rozerem. The problem then becomes, each time I take Rozerem, it causes me to sleep very lightly with what some may consider "intense-Viagra Effect". It is only after I take some measure to resolve this effect that I then am able to obtain a deep sleep for about five hours; but this deep sleep is always accompanied by what I consider extremely unusual or unpleasant dreams.
