MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: First glass okay, then started to vomit. Forced myself the other half a litre due to operation however could drink no more as I was terribly ill vomiting. My operation had to be postponed. I am now waiting an alternative. Moviprep is gross to drink but does make the bowels move.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: My 81 yr old father had to get two colonoscopies in 3 months. For the first one, he used a different prep that required him to drink a gallon of liquid. He had a really hard time with it and didn't finish it. The main advantage of Moviprep was that it is much less liquid. We mixed it up the night before and put it in a refrigerator set low so it would be very cold when he drank it. We also mixed a little lemon-lime Vitamin Water, made him use a straw to drink it, and had him suck on butterscotch candies after each drink and he got through it all pretty easily. I can't rate this a 10, since it still doesn't taste great, but it was much better than the other stuff he had to drink.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: Very difficult to get down. Could not finish all of second dose, left about 2 ounces. It worked very quickly. Just some hints that might help you. Drink it very cold. If hard to sip, just gulp it down. Suck on hard candy in between each glass. Use moistened wipes to alleviate burning rectum, also used Preparation H. Glad its all over and I hope everyone's results will be as good as mine. Can wait 3 yrs for next one. Hopefully, by then they will have something more palatable.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: I used this for a recent colonoscopy. It is way over priced tastes disgusting, caused heartburn. Had it worked I would forgive it all but I went for my colonoscopy and I was not cleaned out well enough for the doctor to visualize my entire colon. I now have to have another one sooner than I normally would have.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: Used as a prep for colonoscopy it made me so sick I had to cancel the procedure. It taste terrible and caused me to vomit along with being way overpriced ($58.00).

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: I took Moviprep to help prepare me for a colonoscopy. I was glad to see that it really works because my bowels don't move very often even with a laxative. I started having bowel motions after taking about 3/4 of 1st litter. I was a happy happy camper because Moviprep cleansed my colon out. My tummy feels so much better. I wasn't that happy about the taste. But it wasn't so bad that I couldn't drink it. I just drank it very quickly. It did what it was supposed to do.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: Taste bad, but it's working as prescribed. I took it before colonoscopy, which didn't show anything abnormal, but my bowel movement after procedure is almost perfect, I think because its working also as intestine cleaner.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: I'm 50 ; never had a colonoscopy. Yes, not smart. But needed one now. MoviPrep Spit-dose was surprisingly expensive. Heard lots of negatives re: the prep procedure so, I researched and thanks to this website, found some good suggestions to get through the 'gross time'. Mixed it with cool water directly from the faucet and left it on the counter while I drank the first obligatory 4 8-oz glasses-15min apart within 1-hr. Prep had salty/citrus taste--not good. I used 2 straws, took big gulps and after each gulp, drank a mouthful of clear liq (Snapple) to get rid of taste. Then drank 16 oz. clear liq. Prep worked quickly-within 2 hrs. Woke up 4 a.m. next day; got through 3 glasses of Prep; couldn't drink more. But all was clear for test.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: This tastes like someone dumped the entire salt bag into bad lemonade. If you can hold your breath while drinking, do it. If you can slog it down in 7-8 large gulps, do it. The sooner you get it down the better. The 16 ozs of water at the end really tastes good. As for effectiveness, don't stray far from the toilet. And try to wipe gently because by the time you get to the end result of the second liter you'll be tender.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: Can't see what the problem is, it says on the packet what it is going to do and taste like. It tastes horrible, hot, cold or warm, it cleans the bowel. What more do you want? Except a positive result after the colonoscopy. Go with the flow and get on with it.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Constipation, Chronic: I have my colonoscopy tomorrow - started my prep at 7, got all the medicine down like instructed. Literally 10 minutes after the first liter, I was on the toilet. To be honest, haven't really left yet. Just about to start 2nd liter and wondering how I will do it. I don't see myself honestly getting it all down - but I do know once I start to run "clear" I am quitting. I'm going diarrhea to severe constipation. I can't seem to get my bowels on track and haven't for 2 months now. Only 35, so hoping it's just diet related. Good luck to anyone in my shoes.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes): Taste awful.. taste like a over salted glass of water with a hint of lemon. Could not get it down in the hour it took almost 2 hours to get the first liter down. Easier to drink when cold (but still REALLY hard to get down). Worked really well for me, didn't stay to far from the bathroom. Very expensive though.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: Well, it did what it was supposed to, but tastes so bad. I got through the 1st liter ok. I gulped it down. Bowels were moving about an hour after the first 8 oz. I had to drink a second liter several hours later and just couldn't do it. The taste is that bad. I threw up probably half a liter of it. Anyway, it cleaned out the bowels.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: Followed the instructions to the latter and it did not work. I did not have a bowel movement until 11 hours after the first dose. My doctor had to abort the colonoscopy. We are going to use a different prep next time. MoviPrep really tastes horrible also. It took three days for MoviPrep to clear out of my system and for me to have a solid bowel movement.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Constipation, Chronic: The taste is terrible. I would rather there not be a lemon or sweet taste. Thought I was going to be sick. Holding breath, nose and big gulps is helpful. This stuff does work though. I have a colonoscopy in the morning. I suffered through the first liter at 6 pm and the second at 10 pm. Couldn't make it through the entire 2nd liter. I had about 2 oz left. Good luck everyone!

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: Worked fine. Mix water with crystal light lemonade first then let it get to room temp. Then mixed in MoviPrep. Tasted fine. My problem is the side effect 24hrs after the last dose. Lots of stomach discomfort and bloating, not from procedure since it had to be cancelled because doctor was away. Yuk...have to do this again next week....he did reimburse me the 50bucks for the script.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes): The WORST taste ever! It is 3:30 and I am on my second batch of this stuff. Not sure I will be able to get the entire second batch down. I'm really feeling like I am going to vomit. Moviprep does work and works very fast but it is like drinking really bad ocean salt water with a strong taste of lemon. I am 52 and in excellent shape. Hope I don't have to do this again real soon. If so, I'll do Moviprep over a 2 day period. Good luck : )

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: It DIDN'T WORK! I followed the instructions to the latter, but MoviPrep didn't do the job. It didn't completely cleanse the colon, and now I have to go through the whole colonoscopy session again with another preparation product. The taste wasn't too bad (used hard candy between doses), and it started to work quite quickly. It seemed to work as I spent a lot of time in the bathroom. However it didn't do a complete job.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: It is 12:15 am, started the MoviPrep at 7:00pm and within exactly 45 min of drinking it I had extreme results that went on for about 1 1/2 hrs and still having some residual and feel like at this point I am cleaned out. But have to do the 2nd dosage at 5:00am. This really works for cleaning you out and pretty fast. Have a lot of rumbling like a train is in my stomach. Going to try and sleep until 5 when I have to do the 2nd part. One thing I have to say...it tastes HORRIBLE! To me it tasted salty, lemon but it tasted like you would imagine an industrial cleaning fluid would taste YUCK!

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: BLEAH! This stuff was foul tasting, and while I was able to get down the first dose, which I took at 6 p.m., my body wasn't having anything to do with finishing the second dose, which I started at 6 a.m. I had just finished the third glassful, and promptly threw up. No heaves; just opened my mouth and it left in a hurry. Now I'm due for another colonscopy, since obviously prep for the first one didn't work, and I'm going to try to take Suprep. Wish me luck.

MoviPrep (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes) for Bowel Preparation: Started the first dose at 3:30pm. By 4:45pm I had 3/4 down but had to quit because I was gagging and almost throwing it up with each drink. It's 9:20pm and nothing has happened yet. I feel like I have to go but nothing is happening, like I'm constipated. I'm worried because I know they will stop the procedure and make you come back if you aren't cleaned out. I have my second dose planned for 4AM. Hopefully it is working by then.
