periwinkle for Herbal Supplementation: I was diagnosed with diabetes, with sores on both my lower limbs for over 6 months. Living in New Guinea, I tried several prescribed antibiotics and other medicines to no avail. After boiling periwinkle leaves in water and drinking the extract over a week daily, all my sores suddenly disappeared and later medical diagnosis showed a significant drop in blood sugar levels.
