After two years of SEVERE PAIN in my stomach and esophagus, I finally decided to go to the doctor and get help. I thought all the pain was coming from an ulcer and after two years of pain, I found out that I did not have an ulcer (yet). The doctor prescribed me Protonix. This sounds like a cheesy commercial, but before I started taking Protonix I couldn't sleep through the night. I had heartburn and acid reflux so bad that it came up into my mouth during the night and sometimes I would inhale a little. Most nights it sent me running to the bathroom coughing so hard I vomited. I have been taking Protonix for over a month now and of course changed my diet and I haven't had heartburn or acid reflux since I began taking it. 7 user(s) found this comment helpful. Did you?
