For ADHD "My 8 year old son was diagnosed with ADHD at age 4. We did not start medication until 1st grade, but are glad we finally did. He is currently taking Vyvanse. I read some materials on Fish Oil and brain functioning and specifically ADHD. When my son comes home from school the medication effects are diminishing and he tends to get emotional and irritable. When that happens, we give him 2 fish oil capsules and within about 1/2 hour he usually calms down and returns to focus better. We use Nordic Naturals Omega 3-6-9 Junior with 135 mg EPA and 90 mg DHA. The capsules are lemon flavored, small and easy for a child to swallow."

For Dietary Supplementation "It was suggested that I supplement my diet with fish oil, don't remember if it was for my high blood pressure or arthritis, but she was a nurse and I said yes. Three weeks later, my stomach will not settle, everything I eat makes me feel "too full", gassy, and nauseous, and there is nothing but (please pardon me) liquid for stools. As of today I am discontinuing use to see if that is my problem. I hope this helps someone suffering in the same manner I am."

For ADHD "I was diagnosed with ADHD 2 years ago and was put on Dexedrine and Adderall. I recently was in rehab for alcoholism and a nasty heroin and Xanax addiction. While in rehab the doctors switched me to Wellbutrin which worked well for my ADHD but made my hair fall out. I started researching natural ways and now I take about 200mg of Fish Oil every morning along with vitamin B12 before work. I don't know if it is the placebo effect or what but friends, family and coworkers have noticed I am a lot more focused and my job performance is a lot better."

For ADHD "Fish oil is such a wonderful alternative to medication! We were opposed to medication due to nasty side effects and other reasons, but with fish oil, there are none, and yet our son's focus has improved drastically. I would absolutely recommend both fish oil and Krill oil for focus, just make sure it's a high quality fish oil that is toxin tested."

"I took the enteric coated, triple strength, Fish Oil, 1400 mg, one a day for about one week and I develop stomach and abdominal pain, and itching. I stop taking it, and after a week the pain and itching is gone. It is now about a month since I stop taking Fish Oil and the pain and itching did not come back."

For Dietary Supplementation "I have to take flax seed oil instead of fish oils. I know it sounds weird, and I've never heard of it, but fish oil capsules cause bright blue splotches on my skin! I don't mean the dark bluish bruise color, but bright. No, I'm not allergic to shell fish, don't have a bleeding problem or on blood thinners, my cholesterol numbers are great, I don't bruise easily, was on no medications at the time I tried it, my sugar level runs about 79-80 normally, and I have a good diet free of processed or refined foods-no pop, rarely any fried food, sugars except naturally occurring."

"Two years ago my psychiatrist recommended Omega3 fish oil for depression. I started at 1000mg a day, which caused some stomach issues and heavier menstrual cycle. I dropped to 600 mg every other day and within 4 weeks noticed it really did help for mild depression/sunlight affective disorder. Would highly recommend for mild depression and joint pain."

For Dietary Supplementation "I have severe neuropathy and my Dr prescribed gabapentin. In 3 months I gained 30 lbs and it really didn't do anything for my pain. So, when I went to my cardiologist and told him about my weight gain. He told me it was the gabapentin. He instructed me to wean off of them. Then as I was talking about the pain and he told I had blockages he told me I could try fish oil but I would have to take a lot. He had look on his face which didn't seem too convinced or so I thought. I asked him about how much. He told me 10000 a day. I figured I try it. Since my pain was severe I'd try anything. I wish I hadn't. Took it for two weeks and every time I sweat from anywhere there is a foul fish odor. It's been about a year. It's finally starting to decrease but only by about half. My next hope is activated charcoal to see if it can help. I hadn't been willing to try it because of my medications. So now spring is here and I can get off of some of my pain medications. The cold weather makes it worse."

For Dietary Supplementation "This reduced triglycerides big time. Four fish oil pills per day caused digestive issues, but two a day still bring down triglycerides. Nature Made brand worked as well as pharma fish oil."
