naltrexone for Opiate Dependence: I've been an opiate lover, addict, train wreck for years. Naltrexone cuts my cravings to about 1/10 of what they normally would be - At thirty two days in recovery. AMAZING!

Vivitrol (naltrexone) for Alcohol Dependence: I am an alcoholic in recovery and have been sober for over 10 years. I used this drug when it was fairly new and I was in rehab. Seemed to work along with all the other tools given to me at that time. No side effects that I can recall.

Revia (naltrexone) for Alcohol Dependence: I spent nearly a decade of my life in and out of rehabs and programs, losing jobs, ending up in hospitals, basically not being able to take care of myself and taking anyone who cared about me down with me. I was usually sober but when I relapsed I would do so much damage in such a short amount of time it really didn't matter. I was recommended Naltexone. I've been sober for almost 2 years now. Allows your mind to think rationally as far as alcohol and drugs are concerned.

Vivitrol (naltrexone) for Alcohol Dependence: I am a chronic alcohol relapser and found the injection helpful. Not only mentally, is it a deterrent. It definitely curbs the "feeling" found in a drink because I did test it. The second shot only makes it more potent and you get better with time. Combined with meetings everyday, and the shot I have a better chance at an alcohol free life.

Revia (naltrexone) for Alcohol Dependence: totally took the craving for alcohol away. kept sober for two years - started playing with it after that and stopped taking it - only to start drinking again. good to take when you are getting some support as well.

naltrexone for Alcohol Dependence: I started using this for alcohol dependence. After a month, I asked for my dose to be increased, as I usually have to have a higher dose of anything that I take. After having the dose increased, I have been without cravings. I love naltrexone and have been sober for four months now.

Vivitrol (naltrexone) for Opiate Dependence: As a chronic relapsing opiate addict, Vivitrol has been an excellent medication to aid my recovery. Have not noticed many side effects, if any. Basically eliminates my cravings for opiates and alcohol and provides good mental insurance knowing that if I do use opiates, I will get no effect from them.

Vivitrol (naltrexone) for Opiate Dependence: As a person that is both opiate and alcohol dependant, I have determined that it works really well against the opiates, but not against the alcohol.
