Provigil (modafinil) for Narcolepsy: This is a wonderful medicine. Costly, but great. However, I have found that it is best to take it an hour before eating or if need be an hour AFTER eating. This medication changed my quality of life. Future downfall....if I decide to have kids. Then what? Consider this if you are thinking about having kids.

Provigil (modafinil) for Narcolepsy: Compared to ritalin, which I was taking before this drug, this produced a much more alert and natural awake feeling. Unfortunately for me it also made me practically psychotic and in a moment of thoughtfulness I thought this must be how people feel when they talk about "snapping". I could not control my emotions. I went back to my doctor and promptly switched off the medication. Too bad the side effects were over the top as the alertness was amazing. I took the drug for less than two weeks.

Provigil (modafinil) for Multiple Sclerosis: I tried Provigil 2 years ago but I got the jitters. The fatigue has become so bad in the last 6 months that I decided to try it again. This time I had success. At first I only took it when I needed it, but finally I gave up having so many nonfunctional days that I started taking it everyday - I take just 100mg. My days are much more fulfilling. I have to actually remind myself NOT to overdo or I'll still get wiped out. It's so good to feel like I can do things again.

Provigil (modafinil) for Narcolepsy: Only side effect for Provigil was a headache for the first week. Much more effective medication, better result and fewer side effects.

Provigil (modafinil) for Shift Work Sleep Disorder: Provigil is one of, if not the most effective medicines I have ever been prescribed. I had never heard of it when my doctor prescribed it. At first, I took 100MG 1-2 times a day. Now after 3 years, I take 200MG 2 times daily.

Provigil (modafinil) for Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome: Well if you want to be totally awake, 200mg is the way to go. Doctor started me on 100mg twice a day then moved me to 200mg twice today. Definitely awake now. Sometimes I feel like I should be asleep but just can't. I'll probably go back to 100mg twice a day. At least now, I don't fall asleep anytime I stop moving for 5 minutes.

Provigil (modafinil) for Shift Work Sleep Disorder: This medication works wonders for those of us who work swing shift. I don't know how I ever lived before Provigil.

modafinil for Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome: Provigil has saved my life, as the saying goes. I am taking 300 mg and 100 mg six hours later.
Despite my use of a CPAP and caffeine I still suffer from chronic fatigue and the Provigil has helped me to maintain some semblance of a normal existence. There are no apparent side effects and the result is to make me feel and act normal versus the side effects of other stimulants such as caffeine.

Provigil (modafinil) for Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome: I have been on this medicine for three days for treatment of excessive daytime sleepiness that is not helped by proper use of CPAP. Previously I have struggled to stay awake at work and I am very happy to report that this medication has helped me to stay awake quite nicely with no trouble falling asleep at night. I am currently taking the 100 mg dose.

Provigil (modafinil) for Multiple Sclerosis: I too have MS and have been taking this drug since it came out - about 6 years. Because Provigil is not an amphetamine it doesn't make you "high", you just feel like you have energy. Provigil does not interfere with your normal sleeping pattern, if you take it in the morning. I feel like my old self when I take it. I also know now when I do not take it (I'm on 200mg). I can feel the difference, what I thought was depression was actually a lack of energy.

Provigil (modafinil) for Narcolepsy: Works great for my Narcolepsy; the only complaint I have is that the price is prohibitive. It is the only medication that has worked effectively for my condition and with dramatic results.

Provigil (modafinil) for Multiple Sclerosis: I was prescribed this medication to deal with the overwhelming fatigue that sometimes hits with Multiple Sclerosis. I am working full time, and cannot afford to be overly sleepy. I am very impressed with how it works. It stimulates me mentally, without creating the "hyper" physicality of a general stimulant like caffiene. I am able to take the medication on a when required basis - not more than 200 mg in a day - and it works great. Many days I do not take it at all. It has a long half-life, however.

modafinil for Narcolepsy: Great medication for narcolepsy. I would recommend it to anyone.
No side effects, and most importantly, I have no problem falling asleep at night when I should be sleeping.

Provigil (modafinil) for Narcolepsy: I experienced much greater effects from Provigil on initial exposure than I have during regular, ongoing treatment. Had the initial effects (perfect alertness without excessive excitability) continued it would merit a rating of 10. However, I still find it indispensable and would be hard-pressed to give up that particular prescription.

modafinil for Narcolepsy: I've been taking Modafinil for close to 3 years now. I've had narcolepsy for as long as I remember and I've always suffered from excessive sleepiness. This is the only medicine that has helped. There are different brands, manufacturers, etc. so just be careful about where you purchase from. Honestly I do not have insurance so I buy from an online pharmacy - otherwise it would be too costly. It has changed my life, although sometimes it feels less effective. Overall it has really helped me.
