For Opiate Withdrawal "I was on methadone for 2 years after a 10 year addiction with heroin. I was up to 130mg I went down 2mg every 4 days it took almost a year but I am off of it now. However I do take xanax when I get "anxious" I think most of the desire is mental at this point not physical . But my counsellor tried everything to keep me on it even though I was doing fine. They didn't believe me I was observed every week with my urine test. I was never praised for my success only given that well I hope you know what your doing were here for you when you stuff up . That hurt I was so proud of my success but all I got from my counsellors is well be here when you mess up - that is no confidence at all. So I believe its just a money maker. They told me I would be back on dope well its been 2 years clean so I won"

For Pain "I was referred to the methadone clinic 4 weeks after a brutal surgery because my attending doctor refused to give me a refill of percocet 10 mg. Instead he sent me there while my face, head and jaw was bolted together and wired shut for pain management, what I did not know was that I was walking into a death trap. They started me out on 40 mg. Which put me on a dose of pain medication higher than all pain medication and stronger than heroin and the worst part is you can't take it as needed you have to take it all at once so your body has no choice but to get used that dose and have to go up and now 12 years later and I still can't get off this drug. It is my worst nightmare and all the people at those clinics do is want you to go up and up it's the government supplying people with an addiction that you can't get rid of and they are making billions at other people's miseries and laughing to the bank."

For Chronic Pain "I've taken Methadone for 20 months now for chronic pain due to fibromyalgia, neuralgia, back and neck pain and migraines. This has helped me incredibly well. I've been able to function and gain my life back again! The only drawback is some weight gain...not a lot though...about 15 pounds over the time span, which is not a bad trade-off for crippling chronic pain. Although there is a stigma connected to methadone users it's worth it to finally be nearly pain free and be living again!"

For Opiate Withdrawal "I have struggled with addiction my whole life and no matter how I try cannot abstain for long on my own. Methadose had made this a walk in the park. I have my life back. I can be in the moment and experience life (good or bad) as it comes. I consider Methadose a life saver."

For Opiate Withdrawal "I was on opiate pain medications for 15 years for degenerative disc disease. Because of insurance, my oxycodone 30mg, and fentanyl 50mcg patches were cut off. I panicked, what was I going to do for pain and withdrawal?!? Suboxone never worked for me in the past, it just made me sicker. HOWEVER!! I found methadone (methadose is the liquid concentrate solution of methadone). It has literally changed my entire perception of pain meds. It controls my pain, keeps me from being sick, AND! it makes me not crave other opiates. I have more energy now than before and consider this drug a miracle."

For Pain "I have found the use of this medication actually life saving. Methadose (Methadone) has greatly improved my quality of life. The single factor that I dislike about this medication is all the very negative perception that people have of those who use Methadose. It seems that everyone thinks that I am a recovering junky."

For Pain "This is the VERY best pain medicine I have tried. I had so many issues finding a doc to help with my pain and they never gave enough to totally control the pain so I was constantly going out finding supplements to add to my scripted pain medicines. Ever since methadone I have needed nothing except some morphine for breakthrough pain. "

For Opiate Withdrawal "I've been on methadone for over 27 years and all I can say is that Methadose saved my life, if not for the clinic I go to I probably wouldn't be writing this opinion right now. This medication has helped me to lead a normal life after 15 years of addiction."

For Opiate Withdrawal "Methadone has once again helped me get clean for almost a year. I detoxed off of it 12 years ago & yes it was tough but possible. Take it nice and slow when detoxing and consider a blind detox so you cant convince yourself your feeling a drop in your dose. If you can afford Suboxone I would suggest that over Methadone for easier detox."

For Opiate Withdrawal "Methadone is wonderful for opiate withdrawal and pain management. My doctor had prescribed me Percocets and Oxycontin for a year, for pain. When she cut me off, the withdrawals were too much. She recommend methadone for the pain and withdrawals. I have been on methadone for 1 year 7 months and been clean for one year as May 2012. The benefits include withdrawal and pain management but side effects may include weight gain, but it does subside once you are on a stable dose, eat properly and exercise daily. Good luck to everyone who is on methadone it works!"

For Opiate Withdrawal "Methadone/Methadose saved my life. I was taking 3-6 Oxycontin a day intravenously. Ever since I went to the clinic and started taking methadone/dose I no longer have cravings, or symptoms of withdrawal. I can finally live again, and not hurt the ones I love."

For Opiate Withdrawal "After years of opiate pain medication for severe back trauma, I had to stop taking the meds as I felt myself not in total control. Methadone has helped me stop taking the opiate pain meds, thank God! It isn't a "wonder" drug, but it DOES control cravings and sickness."

For Pain "I had never heard of methadone used as pain medication before! But it works. My Doctor gave it to me because my HMO decided to take the pain medication (Fentanyl patches) out of there formulary. I had been on it for 4 years (150 mcg per 72 hours). Methadone has done well so far. "

For Opiate Withdrawal "I have to agree it is a good medicine to detox on however your detox from the methadose is gonna be a long hard road. Unless you are planning on staying on it forever you can count on a long hard withdrawal. It does work wonders for pain but when you move away or get cut off it lands you in a situation of finding another doctor to write for it or the dreaded methadone clinics that charge $11 to $15 a day! Wonderful for pain even got me up and mobile."

For Opiate Withdrawal "I'm a heroin addict for almost 2 years , my tolerance is 1,5 - 2 bundles a day. One day someone told me if u hooked on dope you going to loose everything. I was like, nothing is stronger than me and my will, I never thought that such a thing can control your life. You feel like a prisoner. My daughter is almost one year old and last time I saw her over 6 months ago my wife moved out and I'm about to loose them for good. I can't live like that anymore. It's so hard I've tried subaxon but I think I should try methadone first cause is stronger and my habit is bad. I wanna kick this addiction as fast as I can and I don't want to be hooked on meth or subax more than 6 months. I'm just asking you for advice start with methadone or subaxone ?"

For Opiate Withdrawal "I'm at 110mgs a day, kept me clean from other opiates now for a year, only downfall is that it doesn't seem to last as long as I need it to, by the early evening I feel down and weakand not to mention the dry constipation.... But really how can I complain? I'd take a little weakness and dry shit any day over the life I had during my addiction. Not only has this helped me with an addiction but with chronic back pain, I have degenerative disc disease, ruptured, slippled and bulging disc in my back, for the most part methadose controls my severe pain... I think god for it but I truely don't want to be on this my entire life.. 26yrold female"

For Opiate Withdrawal "I've been on methadone linctus for 27 years now. The dose has varied as the roundabout of doctors & care workers has come and gone from 50ml [1mg to 1 ml] right up to 140ml. It for me ha sbeen a chemical ball and chain holding me to a chemist and a doctor. It rots your mind and body away slowly. I wish they had just given me pharmaceutical heroin and be done with i. Methadone in my opinion is the most vile drug. use subutex always. I am too old now and it wasn't about when I started to take it from one who knows. Subutex is the way to go"

For Opiate Withdrawal "While methadone/methadose does do it's job very well, it is not the best medication for withdrawal of opiates. Suboxone is a newer drug that works very well for the suppression of withdrawal symptoms. Suboxone is an agonist and antagonist as well. Not only does it work to suppress withdrawal symptoms of opiate withdrawal, but it also acts as a deterrent from using any opiates because it is a blocker. It is a sublingual pill that is absorbed under the tongue and you should not eat or drink anything for 20 minutes before or after as it will decrease the drugs potency. "

For Chronic Pain "I take Methadone for chronic back pain caused by failed back surgery and for CRPS. (Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome). My life would be useless if I can't control the pain. But my doctor is my family practice physician and doesn't seem to be able to stay with the dosage. He makes many mistakes when writing the prescription and we only realize it after we get it filled. Then he refuses to make it right. Leaving me to try to stretch the amounts as best we can. I'd change doctors but I am afraid he will cause me to lose my ability to get it. He has even threatened to do something if I don't go along with the excuses he makes. I don't know what to do."

For Pain "I take methadone tablets at 10 milligrams once 3 times a day for severe chronic leg and nerve pain and it gives me all day relief. It makes you a little drowsy but at night time there is nothing better to help you fall asleep easier. All I have to say is thank goodness for it.. because I've tried it all from Percocets to Oxy's from Lyrica and Opana and this really works."

I was taking it for my pain to help me and then when I tried to get of the medicines I didn't know that it was going to be this HARD. I thought just ''STOP'' and that's IT but no I was so sick and so on. My friend told me about METHADONE CLINIC and I started to go there and since then I have changed big time and I know what I'm doing and so on Thank's GOD for methadone."

For Pain "Methadone is a life saver! I am a 42 yr old woman who has experienced severe migraines/head bangers since I was 15. My life was miserable. I could not function as a normal person. I could not laugh, stretch, yawn, or anything that made blood rush to my head. The pain only lasted for 3-5 minutes, but made life difficult. I have tried all kinds of medicines, OTC drugs and even Vicodin. About a year ago, I saw a doctor who ask me to try methadone as a preventative regimen. Well, after being on it for awhile, my life changed! I can laugh, scream, yawn, and even stretch without suffering consequences. I will be on methadone as long my doctor says I can't take it anymore! This is one miracle drug!"

For Opiate Withdrawal "Methadone has been great for me. It's important to get a stable dose. As a lot of people are afraid to be on a high mg. But whatever it takes to get you to not use is key. If your on a low dose but using still then what is the point? So don't beat yourself up just work with your Dr. It's nice not go thru withdrawal and not to mention it is great when the drug seeking behavior finally is over with. Do yourself a favor and if your struggling with addiction try this."
