Meperitab (meperidine) for Pain: Great medicine for short term relief. Long term pain control with Meperidine requires dosage adjustment as it becomes less effective over time. There are side-effects that can be a nuisance or even severe, especially if one suddenly stops taking the medicine after being on it for a long period.

Meperitab (meperidine) for Pain: Meperitab is the best drug for short term pain relief as it is Demerol in a pill. Gives euphoria and causes drowsiness when taken orally.

Meperitab (meperidine) for Pain: I was prescribed this medication after having my wisdom teeth extracted. I'm taking it every 3 hours for pain as directed by my doctor, and am finding it especially effective when combined with a normal dose of ibuprofen every 6 hours. Since Meperitab kicks in almost immediately (10-20 minutes) and wears off just as suddenly, the ibuprofen helps to cover the gap.
