I was diagnosed with Polycystic ovarian syndrome after thinking I was pregnant, because I hadn't had a cycle in 4 months. My ob ran tests and found I had a hormonal disorder PCOS and to force a period prescribed me Provera once a month for 10 days. It made me have all the regular PMS symptoms, but I also have experienced prolonged, heavy flow.
