Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "Don’t get anxiety over the whole colonoscopy and prep! I was getting a lot of anxiety after reading a lot of these posts. My experience with the Suprep wasn’t bad at all, as a matter of fact it tasted like a margarita after following some of the suggestions in regards to adding Crystal Light. All diarrhea was non violent, no cramps, no chills (warmed up water bottles), no nausea, and no sweating or headaches. Prepped at 5:00, began the diarrhea at 5:50 and for the most part completed by 7:30-8:00ish. Started the 2nd prep at 9:00 and completed the water bottles by 9:30, began diarrhea at 10:00, and was completed by 12:00-12:30 and went to bed. Had colonoscopy and upper scope done at 6:30am and next I knew I was waking up at 7:30am in recovery room passing gas, LOL. I just wanted to let people know that you should probably average out the comments on here so that you don’t drive yourself and your family nuts with your anxiety."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "- stop eating seeds, nuts, popcorn, chips a week ahead - reduce veggies and high fiber foods - two days before eat light. Toast for breakfast, chicken noodle soup for lunch and dinner - day before just water, lemon lime Gatorade, chicken broth in a coffee cup. Whatever you eat has to come out. You will thank me. - hydrate a lot 2-3 days before - pinch your nose - the entire time if you can - use a straw - mix an hour before, put in fridge Take small sips of lemon lime Gatorade in between, wash out taste- with nose pinched I barely tasted anything - put a small space heater in bathroom. Be comfortable - sweatpants and long sleeve t shirt - use destin liberally before you start prep - pat don’t wipe - I used 8oz bottled water at room temperature for the 16oz. easy to measure, didn’t get cold like some - walk a little- not far between going. Helps prep go faster - plan 2-3 hours in bathroom - it isn’t that bad. No cramps. No pain. Don’t let the bad reviews scare you."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "Okay, I rushed over here to assure y’all that it is NOT THAT BAD!!! I took the first dose about an hour ago. It’s definitely not as bad as cough syrup or anything like that. Sweet, salty, and a bit of cherry flavor. It was a lot to get down, so I took lots of big gulps over fifteen minutes and chased each gulp with yellow Gatorade. On a more logistical note, I’ve used the bathroom five times in about 45 minutes and at this point it is clear pale yellow liquid so the stuff seems to be doing its job. I don’t even find the diarrhea that extreme - just very watery diarrhea. Yes, stay near a bathroom because when you have you go, you do have to go! But I haven’t come near having an accident or anything. Really not that bad. Don’t read the horror stories! I was sobbing and shaking before I took the first dose because I was so anxious from reading them all day!"

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "I wanted to add to my previous comment: no prep is wonderful, so if you’re about to do the suprep, stop reading these reviews on the internet. I read them all and it made my anxiety around the process escalate. It was not that bad! Do it! Put the vid screen down and just go for it. You got this. It’s not that bad. And it’s all for the ends of the care you deserve. You’re stronger than you think."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "As a patient, who has to have colonoscopies every 2 years, and as an endoscopy nurse , who assists in hundreds of these every year, I have a very helpful suggestion for drinking the prep. Whatever you choose to drink the prep with (I choose orange Gatorade), pour both over ice and drink through a straw quickly. You don't have to sip it, you can quickly gulp it through the straw and, if you take a break, immediately drink a swig of the Gatorade by itself, swish it around your mouth, and swallow. I have found through both personal and professional experience, this is the best way to avoid the lingering salty/fruity aftertaste, get it down, and keep it down. I experience muscle aches and this is due to the osmotic effect of the prep. Drink as much clear fluid as you can, because the medication will draw fluid from your body to help flush out your bowel as well. The more fluid you drink the less muscle cramping/pain you will have."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "Just arrived home from my colonoscopy and I’m happy. I was SCARED to death taking Suprep. I read so many bad stories planned to back out until I read stories on this site and mostly were better. The Prep wasn’t bad at all! I was thinking this prep drink would be the most horrible drink and it wasn’t. If you mix the water w/lemonade crystal light that’s what it taste like. It’s a mild salty taste at the end but if you drink a sip of Gatorade and lemon drop candy you will be good.I started drinking the suprep mix at 3:30 pm and finished the complete prep by 5;00. My bowel motions (BM) started at 5:15 and lasted to about 8:30 p.m. The next day I started my prep at 4:30 am and finished everything at 6:00 am. My BM started faster and after about 4 trips the BM started turning yellow and clear. My procedure was at 11:00 and I left about 12:15 pm. I got a good clean of health and go back in 10 years. It was so much easier than I thought and I’m a whimp! If I can do it anyone can. Good Luck everyone!"

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "I was so so so terrified, I was just like you right now reading review after review. I was so scared I would feel super sick, anxious, shaky, and lethargic going through this. I already deal with nausea on a daily basis and I thought taking this laxative would make my life worse. I was having a panic attack all day before I took prep. Thankfully I called a friend, they calmed me down. I took the prep like a champ and had NO NAUSEA, NO SICKNESS, NO ANXIETY. It went so much smoother than I thought. So please don’t worry! I was sitting where you are worrying myself to absolute death. It will be okay!!!"

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "Basically, just like most of the positive reviews stated- it takes about an hour for everything to "start". If you follow all the directions, everything will be super easy. The only thing that I recommend is to not try to prep the same evening that you have a date. I thought that I could discretely sneak away and take care of business. I was very wrong. Not only did my date hear everything through the walls, but I cut it too close on the third "episode" and pooped my pants as I pulled them down. Fortunately, my closet is right off the bathroom so I was able to change. My date was not impressed, which surprised me because when I asked her what she wanted to do, she said that she was really into anything. I guess there is at least one thing that she is not in to."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "If you read negative comments about the taste or ease of this product, most likely the reviewer never had the “pleasure” of the old gallon preps. This prep is, in comparison, amazing! The taste is best described as a salty cherry medicine. You are not going to want to sip this poolside on the weekends but, it is a simple prep. I found following each sip/gulp with lime Gatorade helped with the after taste."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "Mixed w/Crystal Light, down in 6 chugs through straw in 15 min. Sipped on room temp cucumber water, sucked on lemon to neutralize sweet taste. Lemon wedge a great tip. I started shivering, had blanket ready, got in bed, finished 32 oz of water in 15 min. 30 min later minor discomfort, toilet 10 min later. Stools almost completely watery. Sipped ginger ale. Had Vaseline, tucks, no wipe just blotting. No nausea or headache. Did light diet for 3 days prior, clear liquids incl. broth day of. I read to have some calories so less nausea. Seemed to work. I do it again in 3.5 hrs no prob, it’s nothing. Last sips are hard, I will dilute w/more lemonade and have it less cold. Have everything ready beforehand. Had water, lemon, hard candy to suck on, Gatorade, ginger ale, straws, etc. Dress comfortably, have devices charged, have blanket, etc. Take your time in between, relax. It’s doable."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "49yr old Female: I just had my first colonoscopy/endoscopy today and what a breeze it was! I stressed myself out for over a week about this procedure, especially the prep. I found Suprep to be SO EASY! I followed what everyone else has stated; mixed with Crystal light, suck on a lemon/ice after sip, use a straw. After drinking the 32oz of water after each dose, I was in the bathroom pretty quickly. I didn't have any bloating, nausea, or vomiting. I changed my diet about 3 days before I did the prep, so that might have helped. Don't stress about this; you can do it!"

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "I found the comments here useful, so I thought I would share my experience. This was my first time bowel prep / colonoscopy. The taste was not bad at all, like salty cherry cough syrup. I mixed mine with warm water hoping it would speed things up a little and it was winter and I did not want a cold drink. I would recommend stirring the mix a little as I found unmixed prep at the bottom of the glass. First round was at 5PM and it started working in about 30-45min. I spent an hour on the toilet as I did not want to keep getting up. It seemed to be over by 7:30PM. I went to bed at 9PM and woke up once at 1AM for a non emergency trip to the bathroom. Round 2 was at 6AM. Pretty much the same thing. I was good to go to the Dr at 10AM with no worries about having an accident. Good luck and don't worry about the Suprep it is not a big deal!"

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "As an individual with the gene that makes me more likely not get colon cancer, even at earlier ages, I feel I am extremely qualified to comment on this matter. I have a colonoscopy every year and have for the past 10 yrs. I have had all preps. This is by far the best. It's the best in taste and in effect. That said, every prep is horrible in taste. They all stink. But surprep is by far the most tolerable in volume and taste. I pay out of pocket just to use this prep at $125. It's so worth it. Folks, none of them taste good and are easy to drink. This is your best option, period."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "This was my first "Suprep". The kit was basic and easy to follow. I started at 4:00 PM. It tasted horrible, as expected. After another 2 16 oz cups of water, I began to get very cold . The prep kicked in about an hour later. No problem-until the 2 hour mark- then all hell broke loose. There was water coming out of me so fast that I couldn't make it to the bathroom in time. I was almost ready to give up, but by the second prep time at 10:00 PM I was ready to give it another try. Although I was semi-gagging as I drank down the liquid, I finished it. Again I started shivering, getting tired, and having stomach cramps. Again-I couldn't get to the bathroom in time twice, so I ended up sleeping on my bathroom floor that night. Thank goodness I did. My colonoscopy was normal and the Dr. commended me for doing the prep so well. I told him, "Now I know why colonoscopies are done every 5 years- that's how long it'll take me to physically and emotionally recover from the Suprep"."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "So after reading all the reviews last night, I had to take a Xanax to relax. Ridiculous! I am 60 years old and this will be my third colonoscopy. I drank Smart water all day long until I had to drink the SuPrep. Keep it in the fridge, it's better cold. I mixed it with ice cold Smart water, used a straw, held my nose and took 3 big sips at a time. Then I chewed on a piece of lemon. Guys, it is not that bad at all. It took me 10 minutes to finish with a lemon to chew on after each swig. After that, I drank the water and sucked on a lemon candy. It was fine. My stomach is churning with no sweats or high BP. I really think this is way better than Miralax sludge. Ps. Make sure you use baby wipes and Vaseline. Your butt will thank you for it. The hardest part for me was opening the bottle. Good luck."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "So I wanted to write this all out in hopes that it might help someone who was in the same boat as me facing the colonoscopy prep: filled with pure anxiety and fear! In the past, I tried only the GoLYTELY, enemas or dulcolax— all of which made me extremely sick. Based on my previous colonoscopy experiences I was so incredibly frightened that I would be in pain, writhing on the ground, nauseous and weak, feeling like I was going to throw up for hours on end. All those fun things. I think I most definitely had PTSD from my past. I scoured the internet recently looking for any tips from people and I gathered all of them into notes for me to follow the day of prep. I AM SO GLAD I DID. I can now say that I am no longer fearful of the prep and believe me that’s very hard to believe I’m saying that. Here’s my experience, I have no idea if it will work with every single person reading this, but I hope that it will provide some comfort. My doctor decided to give me SUPREP this time because there is less quantity that needs to be consumed. The few days leading up to the prep I ate a somewhat low fiber diet. On the day of the prep, I had a light breakfast-eggs and white toast and tea. Then throughout the day, I had chicken broth and Jello—just to keep my food intake up so I wouldn’t feel like I had such an empty stomach. Then an hour and a half before the first dose of the SUprep, I took prescribed medications Zofran to prevent nausea and Ativan to help with anxiety. Then at the scheduled time, I drank the first dose of the SUPREP. I made sure it was chilled in the fridge (which it has to be cold) and I had a straw to sip it, which helps. Now here’s where the important part came in. This stuff does not TASTE GOOD. I am not going to sugar coat the way it tastes. However, I equipped myself with lemon slices and gatorade and every time I took 3 sips of the prep, I quickly put a lemon slice in my mouth or took a sip of gatorade and swished it around my mouth. This helped with getting the taste out of the mouth. I have no idea what I would have done without those lemon slices. This actually was the most important tip of all. Then I drank my water and applied Desitin on my bum. This was the second important tip. This prevents the pain and soreness from all the wiping and BM’s. In the past using enemas or dulcolax, the BM’s hurt so bad and were so explosive, but these were not—they were warm and fairly gentle coming out most of the time. I had good BM’s for quite a few hours and then was even able to watch a few movies on my computer! Then I slept for a few hours and did the exact same routine again with the second dose, not forgetting to take the nausea and anxiety medication before drinking. This was a completely different experience than last time and I am so thankful I found these tips. I hope this helps someone out."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "Used this Suprep Bowel Prep Kit for a colonscopy done today. Followed the recommendations, 2 days of soft diet, then day before a liquid diet. I took the first bottle at 5 PM on Weds. night. Yes, it had a medicine taste, but I mixed with cold water and drank with straw. Drank half pretty quickly, then drank more water. About 20 minutes later finished the prep and drank more water. Worked within the hour for me. Had several bm and was pretty well done by 9pm. Went to bed got decent sleep, got up at 230AM for second dosage. Mixed it the same as the night before. This was one tough to get down, but did it the same as before, just spread out over 30 minutes. Began working within 30 minutes of finishing drink. BM weren't as intense as the first time. Made sure to drink more fluids up to allotted time. Then had colonoscopy at 8 AM. Went great, Dr said colon was very clean. Overall, it wasn't bad for me, not like the stories I read on different sites."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "Simply put: it tastes awful. I struggled through the first round and then dreaded taking the second round at 5am the next morning. It tastes like liquid cough medicine, so imagine drinking 16 fl oz of that and you’ll have a good idea of what it’s like. My best advice: drink it quickly and plug your nose the entire time. Literally don’t let go of your nose until you’re completely finished. I have to say, once I got all the fluids down, it only look a few minutes for it to begin working. So as disgusting as it is, it actually does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Only side effect for me was a slight nauseous feeling, probably due to the amount of liquid in my stomach all at once and the horrendous memory of the taste. Good luck!"

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "Took my suprep at 7pm. Started working after 1 hour. Been in the bathroom for an hour and a half. Feeling like it could be the end of me. Sure feels like death. Hopped into hot bath 30 minutes ago. Had to get out after 5 minutes to use toilet again. Got back in and back out 2 more times before giving up. There are brief breaks where I can get more water, but not much else. If you want better taste, dilute with peach/mango v8. Helps soooooo much. Been having orange jello and veggie broth. Even if it means I'll be on the toilet all night. Thank goodness for disney plus. Lol. Hopefully my second dose at 1am goes smoother. Feels like I'm spray painting the inside of the toilet bowl. Lol. It sucks, but it's doable. Wish there were an easier way, but 1 day of slavery to the toilet sure beats not knowing if I might have cancer or other conditions that could be treated to increase my quality and quantity of life. I wanna live to see my baby girl graduate. Guys, it is not just about us. Remember that."

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "Suprep did what it was supposed to do effectively and efficiently. The taste of it was fine. It wasn't great but wasn't horrible either. The first dose I took the night before began working about 30-45 minutes after taking it. I was in bathroom off and on for the next 3 hours. I was able to sleep well that night without any issue. Then the next morning I took the second dose and it began working a little quicker. I was prepared for the colonoscopy and everything went well with the procedure. I really don't understand how people say they wouldn't drink Suprep again. There are many far worse things in this world than this."

I called the company and asked if it was necessary for it to work for it to be this gaggingly sweet. Was told that they make it sweet for it to be tolerable to drink. REALLY?! Have they ever tasted this stuff?!! Just the smell of it makes me gag, literally! Hold your nose, suck on a lemon to kill the taste after each gulp. Brush your tongue after you're done or the aftertaste will linger for hours. HATE this stuff!!!"

Suprep Bowel Prep Kit (magnesium sulfate / potassium sulfate / sodium sulfate) for Bowel Preparation "Ok so after reading all the horror stories today I was a mess before taking the first dose. Obviously not the best tasting thing but definitely not the worst. Worst aspect was how full you feel after the 16 ounces of product than 32 of water. 15 mins or so later and I was already in the bathroom. Not unpleasant at all, in fact better than my normal experience (hence why I am getting scoped). No nausea, cramps, chills, nothings. Don’t let the bad reviews scare you!"

I wish I found these reviews before I took this Suprep Bowel Prep Kit stuff. It is AWFUL. I told my husband I would take childbirth over ever having to drink this nasty stuff again. Disgusting, nasty, horrific taste. Chasing it doesn’t help, it’s a thick syrup consistency, even when diluted. By the 2nd dose, I puked half of it up-it made me gag uncontrollably. I can not express enough how absolutely horrific this product is. Zero stars if I could-I hope this helps someone. I will never, ever, EVER take this again."

Eat a LOW FIBER DIET 2 days before and of course your liquid diet the day before. Mix in your chilled water ( I used SMART WATER) with the 6 oz Suprep. Use a big straw. not a thin one. drink as much as you can, use lemon slice, do again, use lemon slice, and i was done with it after 3rd time. drank two more 16 oz waters over next hour ( I used smart water again). this stuff just liquefies everything. 15 to 30 minutes later you will have liquid BM's.. No pain, no bloating .. just the full feeling of drinking so much .."
