Lidoderm (lidocaine) for Postherpetic Neuralgia "I had shingles from my right index finger and thumb to the top of my head. I thought my arm would explode at times. Areas of skin on my arm and shoulder had terrible sensations. Lidoderm patches were a great help. I was taking 800 mg NSAIDS with no effect. Went to a pain management specialist who gave me 15 mg oxycodone every 4 hours, Lyrica, and these patches. Max 3 patches - 12 hours per day. The worst was over after two weeks. But the pain continues in my right hand - now 9 months. The Oxycodone at bedtime with a patch over the affected parts of my hand will let me sleep 6 hours most nights. The patch doesn't do it all, but it is a good assist. And it is not an NSAID."

For Neuropathic Pain "Pretty sad when you try everything you can to get them to stick, but the insurance has to pay and you get stuck with a copay, you put it on and within minutes it's off. I've had Qualitest brand and they are number one. They stay put. So I just endure the pain because you can't get the script filled before it's time, and if you use them before you can refill tough... Suffer... Nice to know pharmacies don't care and doctors are getting so cold on people with pain issues. They really don't give a poop either"

Lidoderm (lidocaine) for Pain "I have 5 Bulging Discs in 3 different areas, Degenerate Disc through out the spine, & Arthritis through out the spine. I also have Fibromyalgia. I also have shattered bones in my left hand & left foot. The Lidoderm Patch works well for the areas that are quite excruciating even after taking my regular medications. I also find I do not have to take quite as many pain medications when using the Lidoderm Patches. Thank U ever so kindly Kamneo"

Lidoderm (lidocaine) for Pain "I started using these about 10 years ago for pain in my foot from a torn tendon. Now I am using for severe low back pain. This really works. It sticks fine as long as you smooth it on. You can tape it on as well. Also these patches can be cut to use in various places and to save money. I highly recommend"

Lidoderm (lidocaine) "My Mom was prescribed 5% Lidocaine patches for off-label treatment of her arthritis. The patch that was applied at the hospital seemed to be good quality (not sure what manufacturer they used). Got Mom home, filled the patch prescription at CVS, bought a box of 30 Mylan patches. Retail almost $300, payment refused by Medicare, bought by me using GoodRX coupon for $70. Unfortunately these patches are Totally TRASH! Will NOT stick properly. Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. should be ashamed. VERY unhappy."

For Pain "These are cheap... nothing like the Endo Lidocaine patches that actually stuck to your skin. These Activis Lidocaine Patches are wet and rubbery and stick together on the sides and are very difficult to apply. Moreover, once you manage to get it onto your skin, within five to ten minutes they fall off. The Endo Brand Lidocaine Patches were made of a stiffer material that actually was adhesive to the skin. These Activis are cheap and no good!!"

For Neuropathic Pain "Lidocaine is a great pain reliever for my back; however not when I use the one from Mylan. I had previously; through a civilian Doctor received Lidoderm patches 5% from Qualitest Pharmaceuticals that has a quilted type backing on them. They are easy to peel off the plastic and apply to the skin. They last for the 12 hours recommended. The VA dispenses a Mylan 5% Lidocaine patch that sticks to itself when it is removed from the plastic and then when I am able to actually get it on my skin it does not stick and wind up wasting 2-3 before one will stick. Then within a few hours it pulls lose and sticks to my shirt. BAD PRODUCT AND RIPPING OFF A VET!"

Lidoderm (lidocaine) for Postherpetic Neuralgia "As everybody have said before these patches are pure junk. I don't think there is medicine on the patch. I went back to the pharmacy where I purchased them and they said yes we are aware that people said they didn't seem to help. I asked why did they sell them to me knowing that they are inferior. I got no answer. I called the company Mylan. They are issuing me a refund of my purchase price. I told them I am calling the FDA. They said not to bother by law they have to report it themselves. I am still going to call."

Lidoderm (lidocaine) for Postherpetic Neuralgia "Ridiculous. ...Mylan should be embarrassed to say the least. You might as well be putting scotch tape on your body instead. That's how useless and uncomfortable the product is!!! Change your product MYLAN. Maybe Endo Pharmaceutical could give you some pointers!"

Aspercreme Maximum Strength Lidocaine Patch (lidocaine) for Pain "Imagine a cortisone injection from a needle with a blunt end. You would never get the cortisone injected. These patches are similar. You place it in position and it immediately begins to roll off. It can't be kept on long enough for the medication to be induced. They're cheaper than the others for a reason - THEY ARE CHEAP! The Salon Pas lidocaine patch stays on and works. It is twice the price but you at least get relief from your pain. DO NOT BUY ASPERCREME PATCHES!"

Lidoderm (lidocaine) "I used Lidoderm patches for years with wonderful results. Then generics came out. The Activas brand is close to the name brand but I end up with my fingers sticky because there is adhesive you can’t avoid when you peel off the plastic. Now I have CVS Caremark for my prescription coverage and was sent a 90 day supply of Mylan patches. These are AWFUL! The previously mentioned patches have a cloth feel on the outside. Not Mylan! Mylan patches have a plastic backing. I can get the patch to stick to my skin, but within 30 minutes, my sweating behind the patch because the plastic backing doesn’t allow the patch to breathe. Once I start sweating, the patch doesn’t adhere, so it is no longer delivering medication! If I wait a few minutes, the Mylan patch just slides off. Do not bother with the Mylar brand patch. It is worthless! I highly recommend the name brand Lidoderm patch."

Lidoderm (lidocaine) for Postherpetic Neuralgia "Your patches will not stay on long enough to supply pain relief. When I apply one to my lower back it folds onto itself within 3 hours no matter what I do. They need to be like the Qualitest patches that I have used for years"

Lidoderm (lidocaine) for Postherpetic Neuralgia "This is a good medication to relieve a minor amount of the pain it definitely needs to be stronger so that it works better. Also the Mylan brand is a disgrace why would pay for this at all. They don’t stick the minute you take them out and remove backing stick to skin anywhere on your body like feet legs hands arms sides back they don’t stick you need to change the way you make these Mylan. I will now on refuse every order with Mylan patches. No way in heck so people have to pay for extra tape to hold these on. You should be ashamed of yourselves for selling these to people who can’t afford prescriptions as it is and then you pay the money can’t get it back and your still sitting waiting to ease the pain and still waiting for an income. Wrong. All I can say is Karma for your company!!! Get some better adhesive or stop making these Mylan!!!"

Zensa (lidocaine) for Local Anesthesia "I noticed a couple of extra things. Because I started using a small dab, about the size of 3-4 grains of rice, on my abdomen. It covers an area of about 4 square inches below the navel. It's been very helpful for my other problem, which could be either Crohn's or a form of Colitis. For general skin use, I find it best to have a bare stomach (no clothes in the way) and slowly apply/rub the cream onto the area directly from the tube. Be careful not to touch it, as it will absorb and evaporate. Make sure to wash your hands if you accidentally touch it, as it would probably be bad if you rub your eyes without washing them. Considering my internal experience, I can confirm that getting this cream in your eyes is not recommended. Overall, it's pretty good, but quite expensive. I can easily go through this 30ml tube in a week, even though I'm trying to use it sparingly. However, you do need to use a certain amount for it to have the proper effect, especially for a fissure. The cream is soothing, kind of like a warming pad on my abdomen but it also numbs the area. I can move around a bit, but not at 100%."

Lidoderm (lidocaine) "These Lidocaine patches by Mylan are a complete waste of money! I was given them for pain after surgery. They do not stay on the skin regardless of washing and drying the skin! I have to use actual surgical tape just to hold the patch on but it comes away from the skin in the center where you can’t tape it! Rip off!"

Lidoderm (lidocaine) for Postherpetic Neuralgia "Do not buy the Mylan generic brand of lidociane patches! They do not stay on. I haven't been able to get them to stay on longer than a half hour. Then I have to put uncomfortable tape all around them. There are other brands of lidocaine patches per prescription to try. Before you get the prescription filled, ask the pharmacist what brand they use and don't spend your money on Mylan."

Xylocaine Jelly (lidocaine) for Burns, External "This gel works great. I had a 3rd degree burn from a car accident on the inside of my left leg just below the knee cap. It started as a blister most likely (according to paramedics and firefighters) from the radiator hose coming through the fire wall and spewing my leg with hot steam, after a day or 2 in ICU I guess it apparently popped and turned into a 1 inch deep hole in my leg. Which fairly quickly became severely infected. I was scheduled to have the burn debrided and the doctor came in and covered the entire burn with this xylocaine gel. He returns approximately 20 mins later with some lidocaine to inject around and in the burn itself and I didn't feel a thing. Xylocaine did its job and did it well. Definitely use if you have the ability to choose."

Lidoderm (lidocaine) "I have lower back pain, herniated disks, disk bulging, disiccation. The Mylan 5% Lidocaine Patch does not stick to the skin - it pulls away moments after application (followed directions on several different occassions). If the patch does not stick to the skin, it can not possible work. Qualitest (ENDO Pharmaceuticals) is a 5% Patch that sticks and works for me. The second best is TEVA Actatvis 5% Patch. Mylan is a inferior product and I would not purchase it every again."

Lidoderm (lidocaine) "Mylan 5% Lidocaine patches DO NOT STICK to skin!! They are a complete waste of money!! I have pain from pinched nerve or maybe ruptured disc? Because they are a treatment for PAIN, they are also a form of physical abuse!! The people who make them should be jailed for fraud!! Yes, I *am* very angry about this. My back is killing me, and this grossly inferior product isn't going to help one bit. The Mylan exec's should be in prison!!"

For Neuropathic Pain "Received Mylan lidocaine patch 5% for maralthia parastetic thigh pain. This is my first experience with this brand. Total waste of money. The patches don't stick! If a patch won't stick even when sitting absolutely still, they are ineffective. I am returning them to my pharmacist tomorrow & will request a refund. I am requesting my dr write scripts for Endo or Watson. My patch barely hangs on as I get into bed (even while in holding it down) I get in a position and don't move. The minute I slightly move the patch begins peeling away. I wake up with a twisty curly sticky thing in the bed. The most infuriating thing to me is to read Mylan website. They made 3.3 billion dollars by June 2015 & these patches came out Aug 2015. RIP OFF!!"
