Gamunex-C (immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous) for Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy "I have been under IViG therapy (intravenous immunoglobulin therapy) for more than 4 years, after first trying steroids for CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy). Felt better immediately with steroids, but gained weight which is now impossible to lose! Switched to Gamunex which I have used alternately (every 6 months with a change of living location) with Gamagard - no problems with either one. The only thing I can complain about is the time at the hospital every 3 weeks that is required. At the last appointment I was informed that a switch had been made from the Gamagard to Gamunex-C. Again, no problems whatsoever. I feel fortunate that I no longer fall, and have only mild balance problems, along with NO REACTIONS to the products used in treatment."

Gamunex-C (immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous) for Primary Immunodeficiency Syndrome "I've been on Gamunex since it was introduced. I take 60 grams every three weeks in about 2-1/2 hours. I have no side effects and pre-medicate with Allegra and Advil. It is by far the easiest tolerated of any of the IViG products. I've used IViG for over 30 years. Works for me."

Gammagard Liquid (immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous) for Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy "I was diagnosed in 2007 with Lewis-Sumner disorder a branch of Chronic Inflammatory Demyelination Polyradiculoneuropathy. I received a week of loaded doses of Gammagard then maintenance dose of 100 g and has been at 90 g for a few years now. This medicine is a great help for the atrophy in my legs but I do get side effects...moderate to severe back and muscle pain, cramping in my upper front main thigh muscle, foot and toes. Also a lot of hair loss and women should not get IVIG infusion when on their menstrual cycle. It causes more clots and a lot of increased flow than normally happens. Double up on your monthly femine products and be prepared to change them every 30 minutes. I also experience fatigue and frequent urination and headaches. Drink lots of water! I take Excedrine migraine."

Gamunex-C (immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous) for Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy "After 5 months of infusions I feel better although CIDP symptoms persist. Side effects were mouth sores/swollen lips both with white blisters starting after three days resolving after two weeks. Significant coverage of chest and back rash, large red blotches. Start on the fifth day and resolve after forming black scabs after three weeks. Will continue with last treatment and then quit."

Gammagard Liquid (immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous) "I had Stiff Person Syndrome and I was on this medication 80% of my last 9 years of IVIG. It did well over all. I grew tired of the ups and downs I would go through each month. 2 weeks of feeling great, 1 week of meh, followed my a week of horrible with all my symptoms feeling magnified. I finally switched to subq last year and haven't looked back."

Gammagard Liquid (immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous) for Primary Immunodeficiency Syndrome "I have Common variable immune deficiency (CVID). First time ever receiving this (gammagard) developed severe headache, N&V&D. Temp 100.2 and low back pain. I felt like I wanted to crawl out of my skin. Symptoms continued for 4 days. Second treatment gave me temp of 102, N&V, back pain, hypotension and lasted 3 days. 3rd dose was changed to phlebogard and I had headache , low back pain. & symptoms lasted 2 days, but did not start until 48 hrs post administration. Much better toleration."

Gammagard Liquid (immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous) for Multifocal Motor Neuropathy "No side effects, and relatively immediate relief from pain and general wobbliness of legs. Did not improve hand function, it continued to slide. However, I recently switched to Gamunex-C and my hands became worse, so I believe Gammagard did slow the progression."

Gamunex-C (immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous) for Multifocal Motor Neuropathy "Great medication for my Myasthenia Gravis (a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease), but very expensive. Company is not helping with cost if you have MG . They are using FDA guidelines...I will need to stop using it after several years."

Gammaked (immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous) for Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy "I was taken off octogam in April changed it to this gammaked For the last 6 months, does not work as well as the others they had to add saline before treatments 2 days every three weeks. Doc is changing to 1x month, thank heavens, in the last treatment my right hand went completely numb though it was slowed down to a crawl. The side effects for this med are more frequent and usually brings on the symptoms of the polyneuropathy, also the headache last 3 days. My body can not seem to get used to this. I wish I could get off these infusions but going for 1x month may be better and helping, but I am not sure."

Gamunex-C (immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous) "My Mom was switched to Gamunex-C once the pharmacy ran out of Gammagard. Her maintenance dose was 65 mg every two weeks. It didn’t improve her weakness or relieve the effects of her Myasthenic Gravis at all which we didn’t understand. It was as if she didn’t have an infusion at all."
