Magnevist (gadopentetate dimeglumine) for CNS Magnetic Resonance Imaging: I had a bad reaction to this dye! I have had 5 previous MRI s with no problems at all to previously used dyes. It burned and made my arm ache on injection and 6 min later when done and I tried to get up I passed out and my blood pressure dropped. They watched me for almost an hour after and I stabilized. After going home my heartbeat was irregular and I was very tired. I am a 56 yr old female with high blood pressure controlled by Micardis 40 mg.
